A comprehensive look at the final auction prices, closeouts and more from the auction list posted on February 19, 2018.

If there is an asterisk (*) next to a price, it means that the name was at auction from a private seller (rather than an expiring name) and may have had a reserve. I’m only showing where the price was when the auction ended, but the name may not have sold if a reserve was in place.

Today that has changed, not that it’s the most perfect metric but Namepros has an Alexa ranking of 38,275 and DNForum has a ranking of 369,909. Now Oliver Hoger and Lars […]

IKE’S LIST OF DOMAINS AT AUCTION FOR Tuesday, February 20th">IKE’S LIST OF DOMAINS AT AUCTION FOR Tuesday, February 20th

February 20th, 2018 by Patricia - DomainBELL

By Josh E

Escrow.com

Anyone ever pull an intercostal muscle or “rib” muscle? I don’t recall doing it myself until now. No idea how the hell you strain those muscles, or if that’s even the problem. Maybe my gallbladder is inflamed and pushing against my ribs. I feel like a soup sandwich, lol, falling apart all over the place and really hard to keep together. So I’m heading out to find myself some ibuprofen at 04:00, I might just drive the 2 hours to work. If I get time I’ll add some of my nonsense to names I’ve picked, if not, use your imagination.

Other Names at Auction

DoubleOven.com I voted this one least likely to meet reserve. It literally has been for sale and at auction for the last 5 years. Checked my email and the first auction it shows up is the Traffic Auction from 2013. But not a terrible name

Premium domain name: Their value and why they cost so much">Premium domain name: Their value and why they cost so much

February 20th, 2018 by Patricia - DomainBELL

By Alvin Brown

premium domain for sale

Why do premium domain names cost so much? What is the difference in a premium domain name versus a domain name?

Domain names are quite powerful entities in the world of the internet, and can make or break a business when an owner allows the domain name to expire.

If the owners fail to pay the yearly or quarterly domain name renewal fees, the domains become the property of the registrar.

You may know this or have already experienced this costly lesson.

Nevertheless, expired domain names become available to general public once again if no one purchases the domains in public auction.

Expired domain names sometimes become the property of domain investors, known as domainers, or sometimes trademarked expired domain names end up in the hands of unethical cybersquatters.

However, no matter who owns a given domain name, there is a different class of domain names on the market known as premium domain names.

Typically, premium domain names have been previously registered for quite some time.

Some are put to use while some are no longer used by the owners or registered.

In most cases, many of these valuable domains are redirected while others are parked …read more

Introducing The New Owners of DNForum">Introducing The New Owners of DNForum

February 19th, 2018 by Patricia - DomainBELL

By ShaneCultra

The sale of DNForum.com was recently announced but the buyer was kept hidden until now. The buyers were the older members of DnForum and many of you are probably familiar with their screen names Seek99, Johnn, and Castion. Here is the official release and congratulations to the new owners.

My name is Oliver and I am one of the new owners of DNF. I wanted to reach out and let the community know about our short-term plans for DNF and who the team consists off. We are sorry for keeping you in suspense for these last couple of days but we wanted a chance to get the deal finalized before taking the stage.

We are three owners;
Lars – Castion, whom will be handling business management and development.
Johnn – Johnn, whom will be heading up the mod team and assisting with business development.
Myself – Seek99, whom will help with the strategic vision and act as a business advisor.

We know it is a monumental task to bring DNF back from the brink its teetering on (/fell off) but we believe that its possible by focusing on the core values that made DNF great. A lot …read more
