Michael Berkens purchased MotorcycleHelmets.com back in 2010, and it looks like GoDaddy/Namefind just sold the domain to a buyer using privacy protection at Name.com. The domain was bought in January 2010 at the TRAFFIC Las Vegas Auction. The domain was actually listed with a $50K reserve but immediately after it didn’t meet reserve Mike asked […]

Daily Domain Picks 12-8-16

NameJet sent out an email and it looks like they will keep things running smoothly around the new whois rules.

For domains being sold by NameJet, when we push your domains to the NameJet holding account, the whois does NOT change (although we add Privacy Protect). By listing your domains with NameJet, you explicitly agree to “opt-out” of the 60-day inter-registrar transfer lock and authorize NameJet to act as your Designated Agent to transfer ownership of your domains sold at NameJet, without explicit email notifications of said changes. Please note, this does not require you to take any additional action, just allow us to provision the domains as needed, in line with our standard process. If you do not agree with this, you are under no further obligation to auction your domains at NameJet.

Go Daddy Auction Picks 12-8-16 Powered by ExpiredDomains.com

There are some 4L.com on the list today that are getting attention, NDND.com is at the top of that list, already pricing many out of participation. The 20 year old domain is already over $10,000.

Frae.com and Obeb.com are a couple of public auctions that have not yet met reserve.

AUCTION RECAP OF DECEMBER 7, 2016">AUCTION RECAP OF DECEMBER 7, 2016

December 8th, 2016 by Patricia - DomainBELL

By Travis M.

A comprehensive look at the final auction prices, closeouts and more from the auction list posted on December 7, 2016.

If there is an asterisk (*) next to a price, it means that the name was at auction from a private seller (rather than an expiring name) and may have had a reserve. I’m only showing where the price was when the auction ended, but the name may not have sold if a reserve was in place.

Save Money With Daddy Bulk Domain Registration

FLIPPA AND SEDO

Cave.com A bid or two away from meeting reserve

At $41,500 with 3 hours left

TheCannabis.com Good timing on this one

Ended unsold at $1,700

Foxo.com This thing has been up for sale forever. Getting a great bid. Note to seller…..take it

Ended unsold at $15,000

Namejet

I rarely have final prices for the Namejet names on the list, because they usually do not end the same day as they are posted to the list. For now, instead of posting the list with no prices, I’ll post the top 10 Namejet sales for yesterday as listed on Namebio.

uuq.com $18,000
60q.com $2,500
pensioner.com $2,380
21686.com $2,000
vvva.com $1,777
pcso.com $1,700

Typical me. Someone asked me if I could bench press my own weight. Now I’m old. I lift a little but its mostly just to get my core and legs strong enough to carry my big ass 26 miles. I haven’t bench pressed in 20 years. I asked my buddy the same question so he went to the gym and tried it. 3 times at 135. I laughed and said that he was a lady boy and headed to the gym. I was able to do two sets of 10 at 135 and two at 150. I texted him some Sponge Bob with big arms gifs and went home. I woke up the next morning and could barely move my arms. I’ve gone back a few times and I think I will be able to bench my weight by mid January. My friend has a huge advantage is that he is a lean 150 and I am 185….or was. I have cheated to get to my new goal of pressing my weight. I am taking off 15 pounds and I’m now down under 180 and headed to 170. …read more

Sedo’s Great Domains Auction Looking Good – T4.com, RAMA.com, More Hit Reserve">Sedo’s Great Domains Auction Looking Good – T4.com, RAMA.com, More Hit Reserve

December 8th, 2016 by Patricia - DomainBELL

By Aaron

Sedo’s Great Domains auction ends tomorrow at 12:00 pm EST, and over $50,000 in bids have hit reserve, with a handful of valuable domains knocking on their reserve’s door.

The highest priced names which have met reserve are as follows:

  • T4.com – Bidding at $28,500. Per NameBio, there haven’t been any LN.com sales this year, but there were five sales last year, ranging from L4.com at $64,000 on the low end, up to W8.com at $140,000 at the high end.
  • RAMA.com – Bidding at $15,000. Although it’s not an apples to apples comparison, recent CVCV sales with a repeating vowel include LIDI.com for $27,161, LAHA.com at $15,000, HILI.com at $12,000. Then there are other pricier CVCV’s like VIVO.com for $1.0 million and VEDA.com for $100,000.
  • Monochrome.com – Bidding at 4,999 EUR. Per Webster, “a photograph or picture developed or executed in black and white or in varying tones of only one color”. 33,000 searches per month at a CPC near $2, per Estibot.
  • R89.com – Bidding at $3,900. I can never tell what these LNN are going to sell for, but in looking at the comps, this price level isn’t entirely unprecedented.
